Last weekend, Walk-in Closet was given an opportunity to stay at a five-star sea villa located at Sepang. Who would pass this opportunity?! =D Through pictures, the villas and infinity pool looked breath-taking! So we had our bags packed and head out to "Sepang Gold Coast" which is about 92 minutes (as stated in the hotel's website) from KL city center (also depending on how fast you drive).

Golden Palm Tree |
Along the way, we passed through many small town which gave us some hope to explore during dinner time and also to avoid hotel food (we assume that it is usually boring). Finally we reached our destination which felt longer than 92 minutes that's for sure! We were welcomed by a very helpful bell-boy and a bunch of not-very-welcoming receptionists. The lobby was pretty though..

The Lobby at night |
Well..we waited for almost 15 minutes for a buggy ride due to some sales conference which was held on the same weekend and it was packed! If you wonder why can't we just walk..it is not a very good idea to walk when one is hungry as all the villas are located pretty far out from the main lobby hence the buggies were used to send visitors to their chalets. Wasting no time, we explored our room and had a few pictures taken before heading to the pool!

The infinity pool |
Isn't the pool breath-taking. Yes! A little green though..So we were wondering why is the pool like..green-ish looking..Oh well, a breath-taking pool is still a breath-taking pool =D Yet we only get to enjoy it for 1 day. Read on and you will know why..
On Sunday, we had an early wake-up call because the whole resort had a power trip at 7 in the morning! Darn...Luckily it was a breezy morning so we had our villa's balcony door and all the windows open and went back to our cozy bed again..ZZzzzz..Half an hour later, the power came back on. Who cares to get up and shut everything back again..

Get ready for some tan! |

Let's hit the pool!! |
At about noon, we were ready to hit the pool!! To our great disappointment, we saw a big sign "THE POOL IS CLOSED TILL FURTHER NOTICE"...Double darn!! The pool was closed due to a broken water-pump. Now we know why the pool was green! Damn..so what do we do when the pool is closed? Get some serious tanning and hang out at the cabana with some Pina Coladas and Magaritas!

Cabanas to chill |

Time flew by and dinner time came. We decided to explore the nearest town again for some food! Why again? Because the first night we had some "not-very-interesting" food at the nearest town which is Sepang. The 2nd attempt for dinner was better. We had seafood in a town called Kampung Sungai Pelek. If you wish to be safe, that town have KFC too =)

Casual chiffon dress for dinner |
After dinner we head back to the resort and wanted to chill by the bar for a few drinks. We need to hurry as the bar closes by 12midnight!! The night starts at 12midnight yet the bar's closed by then. Mind you, the room has no mini bar..No convenient stores around as well (Does it sound like someone is complaining here? NOPE..not at all) Luckily we packed tonnes of snacks there ourselves.
So what did we learn here from the trip to Golden Palm Tree:
1) Pack your own booze and snacks (tonnes of them!)
2) Should not go out for dinner after 10pm as many restaurants will be closed at the nearest town
3) Water sports should be happening only after 1pm till 6pm (Water sports center's closed after 6pm) and before 1pm, the tides are super low!
And last but not least, make sure you have good company because no matter where you go and how bad the condition is, they are the ones that makes the holiday special =)
